Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Sabji Wala Kanpur collects, uses, shares, protects, retains and otherwise processes personal data through sabjiwalakanpur.com and related ordering channels.

Effective: 31 August 2026 · India

Introduction and scope

Sabji Wala Kanpur (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the platform for customers in India. Some catalogue pages may be browsed without registration. By providing information or requesting a service, you acknowledge this policy and the applicable Terms and service policies. Personal data is primarily stored and processed for our Indian operations; authorised technology providers may process limited data under their own lawful safeguards.

Information we collect

Depending on the feature used, we may collect name, mobile number, optional email, delivery address, approximate or consented precise delivery location, order and invoice history, customer preferences, support messages or voice/image order content, payment status and reference, referral/wallet ledger, device and notification token, consent records, and basic security or usage logs. We do not require date of birth, biometric data, Aadhaar or identity proof for ordinary customer orders.

Payment and security warning

Payment credentials are handled by the authorised payment provider. We do not collect or store UPI PINs, card CVVs, net-banking passwords or mobile-banking passwords. Sabji Wala Kanpur staff will never ask for these secrets. If anyone impersonates us to request them, do not disclose them and report the incident to the provider and appropriate authorities.

How information is used

We process information to register or recognise customers, verify OTPs, create and fulfil orders, calculate serviceability and charges, provide delivery tracking and invoices, manage refunds/wallet credits, answer support requests, prevent fraud, maintain security, improve catalogue search and customer experience, meet accounting or legal duties, and enforce our policies.

Communications and marketing

Transactional messages about OTP, orders, delivery, payment, refund, wallet and support may be sent through SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, call or email as necessary to provide the service. Promotional messages are sent only where appropriate consent or another lawful basis exists, and customers may opt out of marketing without losing essential transactional updates.

Sharing and service providers

We share only the minimum necessary data with authorised delivery staff and service providers such as payment gateways, hosting/database vendors, maps and routing providers, OTP/SMS vendors, WhatsApp/Meta, push notification services, customer-support tools and accounting or fraud-prevention providers. Their processing is subject to their applicable terms and privacy safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Legal disclosures

We may disclose information when required by applicable law, a court or authorised government/law-enforcement request, or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect customers and staff, enforce platform terms, investigate security incidents or defend legal rights.

Security precautions

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards including encrypted transport, access controls, role-based administration, audit records and restricted credential handling. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Customers should protect access to their mobile number, device and OTPs and promptly report suspected unauthorised account use.

Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for the period necessary to fulfil orders, provide support, maintain accounting and payment records, prevent fraud, resolve claims and comply with law. A customer may request account or personal-data deletion through the contact details below. Deletion may be delayed or limited while an order, refund, dispute, legal hold or mandatory record-retention period is pending. Data may be retained in irreversibly anonymised form for statistics and service improvement.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or updating of personal data, withdraw optional marketing consent, raise a grievance, or request deletion of data that is no longer required. We may verify the registered customer before acting. Withdrawal is prospective and may prevent a feature where that data is necessary to provide it.

Other people’s information

If you provide another person’s name, mobile number or delivery address, you confirm that you are authorised to provide it for the requested order or service and that it will be used in accordance with this policy.

Policy changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in services, technology or law. Material changes will be highlighted through the platform or an appropriate customer communication, and the effective date will be updated.
